Let’s be real. Learning how to do your “inner work” is kind of a bitch. It’s the uncomfortable, sticky, often unfun process of excavation, unlearning, deprogramming, sifting, sorting, and sitting with all the things that have been stuffed inside you for years.

We can hold and hide and cram a lot inside us. We’re actually really efficient at storing our internal garbage and saving it up so we can torment ourselves with it. We’re pretty great at suffering.

As you open to new consciousness in yourself, eventually, things start to move and shake loose, and you realize you no longer resonate with that old way of doing things. But the way forward hasn’t become clear quite yet. This is how the medicines work – bringing all the stuckness and hidden emotions to the surface to be healed. But what it feels like is a big fat messy hoard of garbage to deal with.

This is why this work isn’t easy. Because you have to be willing to get into your own shadow material and do demolition if necessary. Everything has to go. And whew, it can get heavy at times.

If you’re in this process, give yourself some gentleness and compassion. Soften your heart. Open your mind. Be sweet medicine for yourself through this journey. Smile at your own ridiculous predicament. Because that’s the way to get through it with grace.

It’s the spiritual equivalent of cleaning out that storage shed that hasn’t seen the light of day for years, or finally calling a plumber to help you unclog that bathroom drain that keeps making a mess all over the place.

You’ve come to the medicine path to actually CHANGE, right? So how do you even do that? What’s the process?

What does it mean to “do the work” so you can see things change in your life?

Inner work is a deeply personal and transformative process that involves self-inquiry — exploring your thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and subconscious patterns—to foster self-awareness, healing, and growth. It’s the practice of cultivating presence through gentle daily effort, so that you can feel safe to process those old emotions, change your thinking, and take inspired action.

Inner work is about creating a deeper relationship with yourself, and opening the way for Spirit to guide you. It’s about finding the tools, guides, and teachers that nourish you. It’s about trusting life and aligning with your authentic truth. It may not be easy, but it’s necessary and vital to creating change in yourself and in the collective. Because we do this work not just for ourselves and our families, but because it’s beneficial to the whole.

Becoming integrated, healed, and whole is the path to sovereignty and personal power. It’s the way to make the medicine experience tangible and practical in your every day life.

And that’s why you’re here. You’re not trying to blast out into the cosmos. You want to be here, present, fully in flow, ready to share the medicine of yourself with the world. You deserve to feel good in your life. To wake up with a smile and a song in your heart.

Thank you for being part of this community and for your commitment to growth and healing.

Inner work is a journey of self-discovery and healing, and this episode is here to guide you every step of the way.

Love,

Sinclair
