EP 148 OPENING YOUR HEART WITH SAN PEDRO PLANT MEDICINE

Grandfather San Pedro is one of the most powerful and humble plant medicines on Earth (that you may not have heard much about.) This medicine of the heart grows high in the Andes mountains, collecting the pure vibration of light from the sun and alchemizing it into potent and profound transformation. A Huachuma ceremony is an opportunity to look inward. To listen. To open. And to bloom in the darkness – just like his fragrant white flowers.

Of all the medicines, San Pedro is perhaps the most enigmatic and unexpected. It is soft yet powerful, and patiently waits for you to accept the quest and go on the ride. It’s a path that unfolds right before your eyes, but one that can only be truly seen with the heart. It’s a journey full of simple questions…

And he patiently waits for your yes, because that’s the only real option. The high vibration of this sacred cactus refuses to allow us to resist being stretched by love. And his job is to shake out whatever is in the way of that. He asks you to grow and expand in ways that might feel impossible, but only because you just didn’t believe you could before.

San Pedro takes you on a journey from the head to the heart. Offering an opening and reconnection to everything you have felt separated from for far too long. Like finding the oasis in the desert, after countless nights wandering the Earth looking for comfort.

Huachuma has shown me how to release the urgency and self-righteousness of anger into compassion and forgiveness. He has shown me how to tear down the walls of separation inside myself. He has been a sacred salve for my battered and wounded heart. He taught me to that it’s safe to trust men and the masculine again. He has killed my ego and resurrected the ashes anew again and again. He allowed me to understand and forgive my father. And he has given me countless hours of joy, connection, excitement, pleasure, curiosity, childlike wonder, and pure LOVE.

San Pedro is the medicine of heart opening. Of surrender to the reality that YOU are the Universe. Everything is alive and vibrating. We are one.
