Welcome to our new series, Cosmic Weather Report! We take the time and energy to gather, conduct rituals, and set intentions in alignment with the planets, sun, and moon because these heavenly bodies were the way we learned to mark the passage of time and align to seasonal living. Over millennia, our ancestors learned that when they came together to release, renew, and rejoice under the aligned planets – on the solstice – magic happened.

Tonight marks the Summer Solstice, beginning the longest day of the year. In honor of this illuminating moment where we bask and bathe in the light of the sun, I invite you to take a pause. Reflect. Do some self-inquiry. Take a moment to take stock.

Where are you in this moment in time in your life?
Where do you want to be?
Do you have and experience everything you want in this life at this moment?
If not, what’s in the way?
What feels good?
What vibration and intention do you want to carry into this new season of Cancer?
The rest of this calendar year?
What would feel REALLY GOOD to put your attention on going forward?

Sometimes we let the shoulds, perfectionism, or a fixation with doing something exactly the right way completely derail us from taking action. We get hijacked from doing the things we actually want to do in life. We get caught up in a story or an idea about how something should go, or how we think others want us to do it, and we end up paralyzed, afraid to fail, and even more afraid of what others will think of us.

Feeling stuck, lost, confused, overwhelmed, or trapped in cycles of negative thought patterns or limiting beliefs is a reflection of your thoughts and where you put your attention.

Plant medicine is a tool, and integration is having the heart wisdom and emotional capacity to work with that tool as a master.
